The semester has officially started, with the traditional Mass of the Holy Spirit celebrated in the chapel in Yonkers. We trust that the Holy Spirit will guide all three libraries that are serving the students studying at St. Joseph's Seminary.
Fr. Kevin O'Reilly kicked off the new lecture series by St. Joseph's faculty on Thursday night Oct. 3rd at St. Patrick's Church, Huntington. Fr. Reilly's talk "Why Does God Allow So Much Suffering?" is part of an ongoing series designed to give "Catholic Answers to Today's Questions." Pictured here are Fr. Kevin and seminarian Stephen Rooney, who is spending his pastoral year at St. Patrick's Parish.
Friday at the Seminary of the Immaculate Conception Library turned out to be international book-give-away day. Priests who teach in other countries came to get books to bring back: Fr. Albert from Nigeria, Fr. Jacob from the Congo, and Fr. Patrick from Nigeria - as well as Fr. Michael Perry, who teaches in Ukraine each summer, and will also give some books to the Benedictine nuns in Eerie, PA and to Ukrainian Catholic University in Lviv . Fr. Abem will be sending the books he took to St. Joseph’s major seminary in Nigeria.
